The invasion started slowly and became more effective as the days passed with no one believing the kind man could be anything but a friend. Inexorably, the changes added up and we found ourselves without freedoms and no choice but to go along.
Sadly, the man believed that he was helping. More sadly, he didn't know that he was being led by forces beyond his control. Everything he needed was there in front of him.
Invasions take all forms and what I describe above was nothing less than a coup. Our government has now been taken over by a Democratic Socialist with goals to control banking, business and your everyday lives. It is truly sad that we allowed ourselves to be rocked into submission by his calming rhetoric.
I want to point out the people who elected him, but what is the point? It is too late.
There is a terrible price to pay for not doing things in a fiscally responsible manner. Find Allen Greenspan's interview on YouTube and you will see what I mean. Check out the difference in estimated costs for Medicare and the true cost of today and it is at least 17 times the original costs. The plan in Massachussetts is at least 7 times the orginal estimate.
Now lest you think I am letting "Republicans" or "Democrats" off the hook, fear not! I find myself loathing a Congress that was more focused on healthcare than jobs. Two presidents that didn't listen to the American People. You know, the "We, the people..." described in so many documents from our history. A history that saw the growth and expansion of one of the largest and most peaceful nations on the planet. A country devoted to democracy and faith.
What happened here? Why greed, of course!
Why do Senators have an automatic payraise each year unless they vote it down? Why do our representatives have the ability to run for more than one or two terms? These people are our representatives charged with safeguarding our principles, our beliefs, our unified safety and, instead, they have sold us down the proverbial river.
Most countries on this planet won't allow anyone but citizens to purchase land. Here in the land of the free, we have sold off so much of our country to people and companies in other countries and borrowed so much money, don't be surprised when you hear that China will be calling in our debt and telling us to get off their land.
No, I am not trying to make you fear anything. It is too late for that! Now, it is time to decide what to do next.
Can we afford to go down a path that will bankrupt our companies and our country? Can we afford to become a Socialist Democracy?
If you say no, get off your donkey and get busy! Call your Congresspersons and write the President! Tell the people in charge that their time is limited! Tell them today! Tell them before someone comes to your home and tells you to get out. Oops! That is already happening!
